Croptops and jackets for men.

Hey kids. I got the croptop and man jacket in Zara. I had to crop the croptop further, because it was far too big... I love the jacket, the buttons are lush and it has one of those sleazy inner pockets where i assume guys keep their money for strippers. (: (Yes, the jacket is actually from the Zara Man section.. I'm strange. Yes, I need to do my nails).
And don't diss my hand hearts. You know they turn you on.

Welcome to China.

Hey kids. I thought I'd blog a little about what Chinese markets in Beijing (where I live) are like. Today I went to two markets, first was Tianyi, home of the most tacky pink Chinese things you've ever seen. It comes with a fake bag heaven and lots of random Christmas decorations, but I prefer to stick to the jewelry part of Tianyi.

 

But Tianyi also has really great Tibetan shops, pretty jewelry boxes and other good stuff that I forgot to take pictures of. 

Then I had dumplings for lunch - Asian chopstick skills. And then I went to Su Market.

 Su market has lots of fake clothes, bags, shoes, etc. And lots of people. Lots and lots of people. It's not a place for foreigners to shop. In Beijing there are markets where the people there speak English and completely milk these people and get them to buy shit stuff for too much money. But you can't really go to Tianyi or Su Market without speaking a bit of Chinese. It's mostly a place for small shop owners to stock up on the things they sell, so everything is at a reasonable price. I actually quite like it, even though there are lots of pushing people and I had to be very discreet with my camera, so no one would steal it.

So, today I bought a little tail thing, a few rings, earrings, a Tibetan pendant, a necklace with a little watch, Christmas tights and a parka. Satisfied. (: Now I'm going to go write my wishlist for Christmas.

Dinner party thing. (: Veryyyyy fancy club. Minnie and I wore the same dress that we'd bought earlier that day (I felt that the green one was too blah..) with different shoes, belts and jewelry. Fun night, good food, girl talk and posy pictures in the bathroom.

Wearing: Comfy superhero pants and tank top. BARE FEET!

Looking forward to: Tianyi on Monday and concert on Tuesday (both are staff meeting days, no school).

I'm wearing this on Saturday for a semi-formal dinner party thing. I wasn't allowed to wear sneakers or jeans, so I had to wear a dress and heels since I don't own a pair of flats...
Excitement! I'm going to a concert with The Raveonettes on Tuesday! So excited If you don't know The Raveonettes you should definitely check them out. They're very 50s-60s rock with awesooome lyrics (see title).

It saddens me that it is currently too cold in Beijing to wear clothes like this. I can't wait to go visit Denmark for christmas, I've been saving up my money for what seems like forever. I'll go visit the biggest H&M in Copenhagen on Strøget first, then Gina Tricot, Topshop, Monki, Urban Outfitters, you name it. You can get H&M in China, but it's really boring and they never have anything new.
I'm so excited for Chinese New Year, because I always get 1000+ RMB then. (: Then I can go shopping in Beijing, joy!

Hey kids. (: I went to SanLiTun today with Minnie. Starbucks and Element Fresh with the Docs on, bought three rings and a pair of Converse, wrote "I am property of Oscar" on my arm in Danish. Satisfied.

I got back from camp at 12 today and had some fun in my mom's closet. My parents are dining elsewhere so I plan to stay up all night and listen to David Bowie.
I watched Footloose today, it gets better every time. It looks like so much fun to be young back then, am I the only one who feels like she was born in the wrong era?
